Skype makes everything better

Ok - so I've been on hospital bedrest for the past week. I very quickly found out that bedrest at a hospital is not nearly as enjoyable as being at home... but being at home on bedrest is not nearly as easy so I guess there are tradeoffs to everything. I've had visitors daily, but also had time to nap and have gone through the entire room service menu.

Found out today that I might get to go home tomorrow to continue (and be a better patient) on bedrest. I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow. At 30 weeks 6 days I was admitted to the hospital for preterm labor -- twelve hours later I finished the horrible magnesium sulfate episode and had a few pills and one shot to the butt left for Tuesday. Since then, no contractions and no more dilating. Fingers crossed, I stay that way for awhile.

Now, on to the joy that is Skype. I hope its my last day here, but it was the first time I skyped with Greg. You may think I'm selfish, but I also had him get D and skype with me at 9:45 pm. He was fast asleep but I couldn't have cared less. It was so worth it to get him up so that I could see him and hear his voice! I loved it. I know bedrest is worth it in the end when we have two more healthy baby boys, but its hard to be away from them!

Ok - so now I can go to bed a very happy camper/patient. I've also discovered a love of Ambien for all hospital stays, but I think thats another post.
